Sales Account Manager

Our ideal candidate for this role should be a self-motivator with at least 5 years selling experience in this market. He/she should be a sales person first and foremost with a track record to back this up.

An understanding of technology from leading vendors like EMC, HP, Oracle and VMware technology is desirable but, if not available, similar relevant experience will be required. The candidate should be able to demonstrate the attention to detail that is required to be able to deliver at this level and be able to back this up with relevant experience.


Skills and Experience Profile
The successful candidate is likely to come from an existing IT Infrastructure solution provider or a hardware/software vendor, and will have a minimum of five years successful IT sales experience.

The ideal candidate should be experienced selling the following or similar:
•    Enterprise Server solutions
•    Enterprise and Mid Range Storage Systems – Disk and Tape
•    Enterprise Software – e.g. Back Up and Recovery Software, Virtualisation technology.


Role and Responsibilities

1. The successful candidate will be expected to fully understand the products and solutions that we sell and have a proven track record in our industry.

2. Follow up on leads generated by the marketing department and those generated by your own efforts. You will have to build a sufficient sales pipeline from these leads and ultimately close this business.

3. The role is divided into both account management and business development.

4. You will be given a phased target and will be expected to provide timely and accurate forecasts to management.


Salary – A salary package commensurate with the candidates experience and the responsibilities expected will be offered but, as a guide, an OTE of €80k to €100k can be expected depending on experience and targets.
